Tuition, Polices, Programs & Agreement Q&A
ATC believes
in operating fair and upfront professional martial arts academies, and we must operate our office and classrooms as smoothly
as possible. It is not fair to students who pay month to month rates if we bend for students who try to avoid paying for their
chosen discounted program. That is one of the reasons we maintain strict billing policies and are upfront about all our tuition
polices. If you have tuition issues contact Student Services, as your instructor cannot make any decisions on extensions or
cancelations.
When you visited ATC and talked with the academy Master about classes, he/she presented you several tuition
options including Month to Month (Cancel with a 30 day notice) to a discounted 3 Month Trial Program. However, if you picked
a discounted 13 or 25 month program or discounted family program, you did so knowingly to receive a huge discount and you
must pay your tuition whether you attend classes or not.
Unfortunately, there are dishonest individuals who pick long term
discounted programs thinking “good, I will get free uniforms, free registration and other big savings and then I will
lie and cancel in several months.” Then they rant and complain that we are not fair or say negative things about
us when they are basically shoplifting from us. This is why we recommend starting off with a 3 month program and then upgrading
to a Master Club Program.
As martial artists, we dislike being so strict, but we need to maintain a professional
academy with strict business polices to ensure all students have a place to train for many years to come.

What
if I paid in full, can I get a refund?

are sick or planning a vacation for several days you should call you Instructor and inform him/her of your time missed
to receive any courtesy class extensions if this is not done then we cannot offer class make ups. As a courtesy approved missed
classes can be made up during the week at any time with your instructor’s permission. Any
short term absences can be made up in extra classes within 90 days of the absence and must fall within your contract period.

activities around ATC class times, otherwise you will not benefit from the martial art classes and you risk your child losing
motivation.

classes for three consecutive weeks or longer because of a planed vacation or a serious illness arises then prior notice in

that month. Whether you attend classes or not, you must fulfill your course tuition requirements.
What if I have a returned check?
If you have a returned check there
is a $25.00 check fee. If you have more than 3 returned checks on your program, your balance will be due in full. I
NSF checks are not paid within 15 days it will be forwarded to ATC collections.
What if I want to practice but I fell on some hard
times?
ATC wants to assist you in those times of
need so we offer 2 options on 60-90 day past due accounts:
1) As a courtesy ATC will reinstate your contract
(one time) and you can
start fresh. If you did not attend during that period
of non-payment
ATC will waive past outstanding
balances.
2) You pay the outstanding balance and as a courtesy we will credit you
your missed class
time.
What will happen if I just stop paying and practicing?
ATC takes commitment seriously. When you registered, we gave you several program options.
ATC did not force you to sign a contract, as we do offer month to month programs. You selected a discounted program
and you are responsible to fulfill your agreement, whether you practice or not. If you do not fulfill your commitment
or try to make threats, then we will automatically forward you to our collection company. So we ask that you act in a professional
manner and realize you signed a binding contract.
If, you just leave and ignore your responsibilities and Student
Service’s attempt to assist you in bringing your tuition current, our tuition office will contact you by phone or letter,
and after 45 days you will be reported to our collection company. You will then have 30 additional days to become current
on your tuition or after the 90 day mark if you are not current, the collection company will send a negative rating to the
3 major credit bureaus. Then they will pursue with full collection legal actions. At that time, all legal fees, late
fees and accumulated interest fees will become due in full. There are no class extensions if you go to full collection
status.
What If I get injured in class do I need to pay?
Tuition
is still due but ATC as a courtesy will extend you class credit for timed missed. ATC does not pay for any injuries,
